2024 Impact Report
OUR ORGANIZATION OFFICIALLY TURNED 5 YEARS OLD!
We deepened partnerships locally and online, and built meaningful collaborations.
Join us as we take a look back on 2024 and all we accomplished...
January…
In January, we were awarded a $15,000 grant from Glen & Dorothy Stillwell Charitable Trust - providing critical support towards our support group and DV Ambassadors program.
February…
On February 14th, we celebrated our 5 year anniversary! Which brought celebrations of volunteers who have committed 5 years of service to our organization - which is incredible!
We also officially launched our new websites: www.speakyourtruth.today (survivor support website) and www.sytt.org (nonprofit website.)
Additionally, we joined 9 other nonprofits in Orange County for a day of giving called “Love Is” to promote healthy relationships. We featured our dedicated volunteers and raised $3,829 towards our DV Ambassador Program.

March…
In March, we joined our partners Our Wave and NO MORE and moderated their webinar - Tech Safehavens for Survivors. (Watch the recording here!)
May…
After 3 years of Galentine’s Day collaborations with OC United, we worked together to facilitate another yearly event for Mother’s day, honoring the women & moms in their local support group. We were able to get hundreds of flowers donated by Madero 1899, and invited Brooke from Brooke Bloom Co. to lead a bouquet making class. It was truly such a beautiful event!
June…
June brought a lot of training and off-boarding of responsibilities as Hannah (Executive Director) prepared for her maternity leave to bring her daughter Norah into the world. Taylor, our Social Media & Outreach Manager (as well as our Board of Directors) majorly stepped up in her absence, helping plan & coordinate our yearly Run The Globe campaign, and leading our interns, programs, and partnership collaborations.

“The group has been amazing, a place I feel safe in and can turn to for advice, support, and understanding. When I read others testimonies, I feel so encouraged that I am not alone.”
— Support Group Member
July…
Taylor and Janell attend It Ends With Us movie premiere alongside the NO MORE team, local advocacy organizers, and community members. This movie aims to center the voices of those impacted by domestic violence and honor the autonomy, healing, and voices of survivors.

October…
We spent August and September preparing for a month full of events throughout October - Domestic Violence Awareness Month! Hannah returned to work just as an official MOU was built with Radiant Futures in Fullerton, CA. We were able to visit an all-staff meeting and share about our support group resource. We look forward to collaborating with Radiant Futures on future programs and events!

We launched our third annual Run The Globe campaign in partnership with Girls Who Travel. Together we raised $8,906 and traveled a total of 11,351 kms across the globe. We collaborated with Radiant Futures for several events, including a Facebook LIVE discussing the Importance of Survivor Voices and Open Mic Night at the Night Owl. Additionally, our partner Our Wave showcased our collaborative research project at the SVRI Forum in Capetown, South Africa.
In addition to facilitating a successful month-long awareness campaign and highlighting a survivor’s story every single day throughout October, SYTT was awarded a $20,000 grant from Orange County Community Foundation, and collaborated with CorePower Yoga in Irvine to host it’s first donation class (with many more to come!) We are excited to continue building relationships with our local partners and diversifying our funding opportunities.
